An international collaboration has been established to improve information access in Dominican Republic. Teachers, universities, librarians, students, and community members from both United States and Dominican Republic have united to develop a workshop and service learning program to improve information access and education using an asset-based approach to mobilizing existing resources in Dominican Republic communities. Discover the impact of asset-based international collaborations and how to adapt this model in other countries and communities.

Participants will develop an understanding of the best practices of an international collaboration bridging access to information in the Dominican Republic. Participants will learn about the benefits of using an asset-based approach to project development, how to coordinate collaboration between various stakeholders in other projects, and how to adapt this model in other countries and communities.
